E-Liquid (or vape juice) is made up of 3 agents that are all FDA approved with food-grade ingredients:
The first ingredient(s), Flavour Contentrates. All concentrates are FDA approved and are used in your daily lives. Concentrates make up for 10% - 20% of the whole bottle of e-liquid itself.
The second ingredient, Vegetable Glycerin (VG) is the thickening agent used that produces the thick vapour production. The more VG percentage used, the thicker the liquid will be. VG is typically found in food items such as: breakfast cereals, chocolate, gummy bears, and ice cream.
The third ingredient, Propylene Glycol (PG) is the thinning agent that carries the flavours and helps mix everything together. The more PG use, the more flavourful and thinner your vape will be. It is recommended that no less than 50% of PG is used be bottle as it will cause your vape to leak more, especially for sub-ohm style vaping that requires more power. PG is typically found in bread, dairy products, and soft drinks.
The fourth ingredient, if you so wish to add yourself, is nicotine. Nicotine is illegal in Australia to buy, sell, and posses over the counter in Australia without a valid prescription. Check out our blog post for mixing your nicotine that has been legally ordered overseas with a valid prescription provided by your GP.
